

How much of stutter etc is caused by “overwhelmed” MS servers? I don’t O/C and haven’t even tried doing so

Using OC on GPU in Afterburner (ok within limits or not at all?) Set to OFF (not tried switching this back to ON for months HAGS and Game mode in Win 10 resp 11 (if different) TLOD is more terrain objects like render distance to trees and autogen buildings etc

I think OLOD is misunderstood a bit, I think it’s a render distance to sim objects (at airports) more than detail of an object itself I think. I generally now have TLOD at 100, and OLOD at 160. CPU limitation can still be an issue at poorly optimised airports. So I’ve had to make room CPU load wise to run AI traffic smoothly, especially at scenery dense airports. TLOD is one of the primary CPU loaders, and AI traffic is too. So this issue for me is now is also dependant on AI traffic (I use FSLTL). I use a GSync OLED TV, I don’t do anything to enable it presumably the 3090 utilises it via NCP I set mine to 50% RR with RR at 60Hz, but sometimes switch to 100 to see what FPS is really likeĭifference in which settings to use with gsync/compatile screen vs not.
